Just a word of warning for small businesses out there. I seem to have been the target of a BT carpet bombing telemarketing campaign twice in the space of two days. One word: AVOID.
Despite them offering me an “attractive” package for only £10 a month, I would advise to stay clear of this advertisement mean. See the following article for some further explaining: [here].
Funnily enough, the woman trying to sell me the concept yesterday told me I was nowhere to be seen in Google organic searches for any given keywords, while it was blatant that she “could not” see me while I was there on page 1 all the time.

So since that episode, anyone calling me and mentioning “Google” gets the boot.
Hi, it’s really sad, Adwords and paid search can be a great and affordable way to generate business, but the number of sharks around (some big, some small) currently is tarnishing the reputation of the decent agencies.
Some years ago a friend of mine contacted local businesses about doing website development for them, but nearly all had felt so badly burned by a previous experience that they weren’t willing to even consider it. Paid search is in danger of going the same way.
