19-21/03/07: Miami Nice: The Standard, Miami
Coming back from the Bahamas to the US was a bit of a reality check for us, but all in all, the friendly staff, as well as the facilities of this hotel, made that we hardly left the place. The Standard, previously known as the Lido Spa Hotel, is as its old name indicates, also a spa. And what a spa! More pictures here.

13-19/03/07: Eleuthera, Bahamas
We stayed in a place called The Cove for 7 days. I had not taken my driving license, so we had to take taxis wherever we wanted to go, but The Cove in itself had plenty to offer. Part of Eleuthera, is also the gem that is Harbour Island, a 30 minute taxi ride from The Cove. More pictures here.

13/03/07: Miscellaneous images that made me smile that day...
We left Miami on route to the Bahamas island of Eleuthera after lunchtime.

12/03/07: Miami Vice: Merd'in Hotel, Miami.
Miami, that day, was supposed to be the relaxed first stop of an exotic holiday to the Bahamas. Miami, as usual, was stunning, and I could be telling many things about our hotel... I will keep it simple: stunning architecture, very very bad people.

16/11/06: Rugby World Cup 2007. Following last week's rush to buy tickets, we realised that tickets for the two games we want to attend were still available today, however, no accomodation was available in Cardiff city centre for the weekend of September 15, Wales v. Australia & Canada v. Fiji. The other game we want to attend is Scotland v. New Zealand in Edinburgh on September 23. Below is a Google map of the accomodation (green arrow) i managed to find in Cardiff... Success!

15/11/06: Arsenal's Emirates Stadium: seating chart. I wanted to put that here for a while, so that you can have a rough idea where you seat is on any game. I am starting to discover where the best seats are. I have come to realise that if you seat above row 20 in the Lower Tier, you tend to be "under the roof" too much, also sitting above row 10 in the Upper Tier, takes you very high.

12/11/06: Arsenal v Liverpool, Emirates Stadium, London. 3-0 and a hell of a game...

26/04/06: Arctic Monkeys concert (Cambridge Corn Exchange).

A good gig, with bad acoustics (you may have to Save Target As on your machine to be able to view the vid, or you may have to install Quicktime). That night was a special occasion, for a friends birthday, so I was not taking pictures, just listening, we ended up at La Raza with friends.

1/12/05: Moonlite Diner, Fort Lauderdale. Or how to find out, the hard way, that coming back to a place where you once took a great picture, does not necessarily mean that you will succeed this time round. The diner has been renamed, from Starlite to Moonlite diner, and they have made a few alterations to the place, but the staff is still ever so friendly.
