Hertfordshire wedding photographer also covering London, and East Anglia. Holding a Licentiate with the SWPP, I love nothing more than capturing pictures of people having fun on one of the happiest days of their life, offering you unique wedding photographs captured in my inimitable style.
I’m a very friendly and unobtrusive Hertfordshire wedding photographer, who excels at capturing photojournalistic images of your day. In parallel to my wedding photography, I have been taking travel and landscape photography during various travel workshops. This experience now allows me to see the bigger picture and create great artistic images of your day, whilst keeping everything as natural and simple as possible. I love nothing more than waiting for a great sunset or coming back outside after the meal or the first dance at a wedding with a cooperating couple to try and use the surroundings and the elements to the best of my ability for the sake of creating extraordinary wedding images.
I know what to look for at weddings, and I know what kind of pictures my clients want to see or expect to see in their final collection. My job as a wedding photographer is to document the day as creatively as possible while capturing amazing portraits.
Weddings are about two people in love coming together to get married – most weddings have got the same “spine” of events with the ceremony, drinks’ reception, wedding breakfast & evening entertainment – I am there to capture the couple, and their love for each other, as well as their families and friends and their interactions with one another. Spontaneity is key.
Since getting married myself, I realised how fast a wedding day goes by. As a wedding photographer, time is against you from the start. You need to get your timings right, while not losing sight of all the little impromptus that will make your photos so special. The ability to anticipate moments and emotion before they happen is a gift and not everyone is suited to capture them. And I sometimes become so involved in the making of a photograph myself, that during emotionally charged speeches or particularly moving ceremonies, tears often come to my eyes.
Throughout my 20 years as a wedding photographer, I have developed a style that is popular with couples getting married in my area and that is why I get booked up so quickly.
So if you’re interested in having me document your wedding, drop me a line and we will take it from there.
