Lisa and Joseph booked me to be their Trinity Hall wedding photographer on a day that they intended to be relaxed and informal, with the bride and groom happy to see each other before the service, and pose for various family photographs before the civil ceremony. The weather was great and most of the day was spent outside on the lawn, and by the river and even punting on the river Cam by some of the guests. The ceremony itself, despite being quite informal was very emotionally charged, with a few tears shed, but beautiful at the same time.
I remember the day being filled with laughter, loads of friendly guests and an unhurried feel to the whole affair. We took a few couple images which were very naturally composed without much posing then the drinks reception was over and the guests retreated to the dining hall, which was full of light, and banter. Laughter again got the best of everyone, and even the speeches where full of jokes and smiles. We then all went downstairs to the bar for the evening do with many additional guests and the party went on to the wee hours.
Congratulations to Lisa and Joseph for getting married in such a picturesque wedding venue. If you’re planning to get married at Trinity Hall College, Cambridge do not hesitate to enquire about my availability as I would jump at the chance to be a Trinity Hall wedding photographer in Cambridge again!
