Wedding photographer St Johns and Queen’s colleges: When Rebecka and Toby asked me to photograph their wedding day on Sunday 4th August 2013, I was over the moon! The ceremony was to take place in the beautiful chapel at St Johns College in Cambridge followed by drinks and dinner reception at Queen’s College also in Cambridge.
The couple had planned to go from one college to the other by punt on the river Cam, and what a fantastic day it was! All set on a hot summer day and providing the most romantic setting for beautiful wedding photography. They had strawberries and cream as they were ferried around a busy river Cam from one college to the other. Then after a few couple photographs near the Mathematical bridge and the old court, we set to capture the 27 or so group photos. But I have to say the ushers and friends enrolled to organise the groups for their formal posing were very efficient! It ended up being organised with a near military precision. To get 27+ group photos through one hour.
The evening meal was then served in the magnificent old hall, followed by dancing in the student bar. An amazing day with a lovely couple and many memories.
