Pricing & Payment Questions
I offer a straightforward pricing model designed to give you flexibility and value. My base rate is £160 for the first hour of shooting, then £100 for each additional hour. This includes professional editing and delivery of 5 carefully selected final images per 30 minutes of shooting time.
For example:
1-hour session = 10 final images included
1.5-hour session = 15 final images included
2-hour session = 20 final images included
Absolutely! If you’d like access to the complete collection of images from your shoot, there’s an additional fee of £40 to unlock your full gallery. This gives you every beautifully edited photo from your session.
I offer three convenient payment options:
- Bank transfer (preferred method)
- Credit/debit card (I’ll send you a secure online payment link)
- Cash on the day of your shoot
A deposit secures your booking, with the balance due on your session day.
Yes! I understand that professional photography is an investment, so I’m happy to discuss flexible payment arrangements that work for your budget.
Location & Access Questions
Access to Cambridge University colleges is restricted for commercial and personal photography sessions. We cannot photograph inside college grounds unless you are an alumni or fellow of a specific college, or have obtained prior written authorization from that college.
However, don’t worry! Cambridge offers stunning public locations where I can capture beautiful images with iconic college landmarks as backdrops. I know all the best spots for gorgeous photos that showcase Cambridge’s historic beauty.
Photography access to the Senate House is completely forbidden for personal and professional sessions. But Cambridge has countless other magnificent locations that will make your photos truly special.
With 27 years of Cambridge experience, I know every perfect spot! From the scenic Backs with college views to beautiful parks and riverside locations – I’ll suggest the ideal backdrop for your vision and style. We can also get out of the city centre, and Magog Down or Wandlebury Country Park are great locations especially in the Autumn.
Weather & Outdoor Photography
Since all my sessions are outdoors and weather-dependent, we need to work around Cambridge’s unpredictable weather.
For Cambridge residents: We can easily reschedule to another day at no extra charge.
For visitors to Cambridge: If you’re only here for a short time, we have limited flexibility. If weather conditions are truly unsuitable (heavy rain), we may need to cancel your session. I always monitor forecasts closely and will contact you as early as possible (I also use an app that shows rain clouds and is very accurate).
Light rain or overcast skies: Often create beautiful, soft lighting! Some of my most stunning images happen on cloudy days.
I don’t operate a traditional studio, but I do offer on-location studio photography for Cambridge residents only. This involves bringing professional lighting and backdrops to your home (requires adequate space – see below).
Available for Cambridge and Cambridgeshire residents only, I can bring professional studio equipment to your home. This requires:
More intricate editing process – the complete image collection has a similar upgrade fee concept but is dependent on the final number of images chosen due to the specialised post-production work required per image.
Several metres of clear space for optimal lighting setup.
Additional hour included in session time for equipment setup and breakdown.

I personally respond to every enquiry within the hour during business days, unless I am on a shoot and not able to check my phone. You’ll always hear directly from me, never an assistant.

Edited images are typically delivered within 2 weeks, but I often deliver them faster, more like 5-7 business days via a private online gallery that you can easily share with family and friends around the world.

Absolutely! I’m very experienced with children of all ages and know how to keep sessions fun and engaging for little ones while still capturing beautiful family moments.
However I pass on maternity and baby shoots to a colleague that I would be happy to recommend.
