Brand Image Library.

Founder, team, environment, details. Shot in a day, edited to one look. The year's content, in one session.

Who it's for

For the SME that's outgrown stock.

If your homepage is still using stock images of strangers, this is the shoot to fix it.

A Brand Image Library is a single session that produces a complete library of photographs for a business — the founder, the small team, the shop or office, the product, the wall, the things on the desk. All shot in one day, all edited to one look, all licensed to you forever.

It is built for independents and SMEs — Cambridge shops, cafés, delis, gyms, studios, professional services — who would rather not be Googling "free coffee shop image" the next time they need a website banner.

Cambridge independents I've shot for

Two examples, picked from the shelf.

The Urban Larder, on Mill Road. Sandwiches, deli, coffee. We spent half a day in the shop — the owner behind the counter, the bread on the board, the hand-lettered logo on the wall behind him, the products in the cabinet, the espresso machine, the flowers in the corner. Twenty frames the shop has now used across every channel for two years.

Afternoon Tease, a Cambridge cake business. A short, focused shoot in the kitchen — icing on the spatula, hands on the cake stand, the bunting apron, the pendant lights, the trays. Quiet images. Real work. Nothing posed.

Both shoots produced a year of website, social and press in a single day. Both are still in use. Both subjects, importantly, kept making cakes and sandwiches while I shot.

How a library shoot runs

One photographer. One day. One look.

Brief & shot list

We agree the day in writing. Locations, team list, product list, key brand details, time blocks.

People block

Founder portraits first. Team portraits next, matched in light and framing so they hold together on the website.

Place block

Environmental and atmospheric — the shop, the kitchen, the office, the wall, the products on the shelf.

Deliver

Edited gallery in ten working days, all 100–150 images, all sized and ready for use.

Frequently asked

Brand Image Library questions.

My team has fifteen people. Is that too many?

Not necessarily — but it tips into a day and a half. Five to ten team members fit comfortably into a single day alongside founder and environment. Above that, the schedule needs more room.

Can the shoot happen during normal opening hours?

Yes — and it's often better. Real customers in a coffee shop, real noise in an open-plan office, real activity in a kitchen, all photograph better than empty rooms. We agree which moments are quiet enough for portraits and which are good for atmosphere.

What about product or food photography?

Built into the day. Not the white-cyclorama studio version — the "as it actually looks on the counter" version. Bread on the board, coffee on the saucer, packaging in context. Useful for social and editorial, less so for an Amazon listing.

Can we license images for a specific purpose only?

The base licence is full personal and business use, in perpetuity, for the commissioning business. Editorial and broadcast use, third-party syndication or stock-style resale need a separate licence — quoted on request.

Ready?
